The Everything Store: Jeff Bezos and the Age of Amazon

Another book I picked out of curiosity. It’s fun to read and is also filled with examples of courage. One of the things I particularly like is how scientific Bezos was in creating Amazon. From picking the name of the company, to picking books as a category to start selling in, to the business model he had in the early days when he didn’t have any books in store but still sold them and delivered them by hacking the system of a publishing house. Another interesting thing I learned here is his criterion for big decisions: he doesn’t maximize happiness, he minimizes regrets.
